Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst / Lead Data Modeler to guide and grow our data practice. This is a hybrid role that blends analytical thinking with strong data modelling capabilities. You will lead client engagements, shape solutions that deliver real value, and help guide a small team of analysts or modelers to do the same.

This role suits someone who is technically strong, business-minded, and people-oriented—someone who thrives on solving meaningful problems, designing scalable models, and coaching others to succeed.

This role may involve working across time zones to support international clients and distributed team members. Flexibility in work hours will be required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of analytics and/or modelling projects from discovery to implementation
• Engage with clients to understand their business problems, refine requirements, and recommend the best-fit solutions
• Build conceptual, logical, physical and dimensional models aligned with business needs
• Create clear and actionable data visualisations (primarily in Power BI)
• Ensure solutions are scalable, structured, and continuously improved
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to junior analysts/modelers
• Conduct and/or guide requirements workshops and training sessions
• Identify gaps between what clients ask for and what will truly add value—then bridge them
• Contribute to internal process improvements and best practice documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in Data Analysis, Data Modelling, or a combination of both
• At least 3 years in a leadership, team lead or mentorship capacity
• Strong experience in:
  • Power BI (data modelling, reporting, visualisation)
  • Conceptual, Logical, Physical, and Dimensional Data Modelling
  • Data profiling, transformation, and interpretation
• Proven experience working with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
• Experience in business-facing engagements: workshops, training, feedback sessions
• Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related field (beneficial)
• Experience with Data Vault (beneficial)
• Excellent communication, structured thinking, and process-orientation
• Experience in financial services, SaaS, banking, retail and manufacturing industries (beneficial)
